What is the best thing that has ever happened to you?
I wish I could provide an answer to this question. However, I cannot provide a straight forward response because the best thing that has ever happened to me is not a one time experience, but a trail of lessons and opportunity.
Each day and experience brings me something better than the last, placing this question into the air. I can say, that I have experienced some of the best things after learning a lesson or going through hardship. There’s always a calm after the storm right?
What is your favorite part about being a woman?
My favorite part about being a women is having the opportunity to help other women grow and see through set backs as a leap forward.
My friends always come to me for advice, whether it be about boys or even other friendships with girls. As a women, I am able to connect and empower. After all, who runs this world?
Who is your favorite role model?
My favorite role model would have to be my mom. She is a single mother who works extra hard to be able to give my brother and I the life we have.
She is so strong, caring and intelligent. I admire her for her bravery through everything and her ability to see the bright side of any situation.
What is your dream in life?
My dream in life is to be able to help others. I want to spread the message of taking a mole hill and turning it into a mountain. I want to spread awareness that not everyone will think or feel the same way as you, and how that’s okay.
My dream is to help people pursue their dreams while making this world a better place.
Are you following your dream?
Yes and no. Yes, because I continually post inspiring and self loving writings to social media. I have also created a gofundme for Flint called “Don’t forget about Flint”, where the money donated will go to United Ways of Genessee Flint.
No, because I would like to create a website/blog where I can reach a larger audience and have a platform strictly for helping others.
Have you ever been published in a print or digital magazine before?
I have been published in my old high school paper a few times for cheerleading as well as interviews for smaller things.
If you could only eat one meal – or food – for the rest of your life… What would it be?
Wow, okay this is a hard one. I LOVE FOOD. Hmmm.. if I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would have to be popcorn.
The reason being, that popcorn can be either sweet or savory! You can change up the flavor for whatever mood you’re in. It’s also low in calorie and it counts as a vegetable right??
Name one place in the world that you haven’t been to, but are dying to visit.
I really want to travel to South Korea. Although I was born there, I haven’t been there since I was 6 months old.
I don’t remember any bit from when I was a baby, so I think it would be super cool to be able to go back and learn more about where I’m from and experience the culture. Who knows, maybe i’ll be recruited into a K-Pop star.
What’s most important to you?
The thing that is most important to me is self love. You may be rolling your eyes at all the “inspirational” type answers, but over time I have learned that you must put yourself first.
I learned that no relationship, whether it be with friends or a lover, will work unless you know your worth and are able to be there for yourself.
It is important to set aside time and immerse yourself into your own thoughts and feelings.
What’s the worst line a guy has ever used on you?
Ugh. The worst line a guy has ever used on me has got to be along the lines of “hey cutie *insert heart eyes emoji, wet emoji, fire emoji*”.
Not really a pickup line, but boy does that make me immediately run the other way.
Tell us a random fact about yourself.
When I was younger I was actually in a talent agency for acting and starred in many musicals, however I quit to pursue competitive cheer and competitive dance.
Have you ever traveled out of your home country?
I am lucky enough to answer yes to this question. I have traveled to Canada, the Caribbean Islands, and Europe in the summer.
What type of style would you say fits you best or that you wear the most?
I take a lot of my fashion inspo from celebrity street wear. I like to be comfortable as well as a wee but edgy. But, honestly my style changes up day to day depending on my mood.
Do you have a favorite Kardashian sister?
My favorite Kardashian would have to be Kourtney. She is small but mighty.
I love her style and I admire her ability to be a mother while juggling life that is posted up for all to see.
Have you ever gotten plastic surgery?
I have never gotten plastic surgery. I love myself the way I am, but I have always been insecure about my nose.
If I had the money right now, I would probably get a rhinoplasty, although it is definitely not the top of my priorities.
What do you want to be remembered as?
I want to be remembered as a BAB (boss a** bit**) who knows what she wants and takes it. I want to be known as a reliable and witty person.
