Interview With Fatima Reedy

Ethnicity: Egyptian, African American, and Caucasian

Profession: Actress

Current Location (Country): United States, Los Angeles

Instagram Username: @fatimareedy

What inspired you to get into the modeling industry?

I used to be really ashamed of my natural curly hair. One day I wore it down and curly in public and everyone commented they loved that it was “different.”

I realized I wanted to show people it was okay to embrace yourself fully!

How long have you been modeling?

3 years!

As a model/aspiring model, do you think that it is important to have a large following?

I think as long as you promote genuine light and truth, that’s the goal.

Quality over quantity.

Who is your favorite model?

I don’t follow models too much actually! Ah!

Were you ever camera shy?

Growing up I never liked the camera because of insecurities!

Have you ever been published in a print or digital magazine before?

Not yet! 🙂

What’s something a guy can do to get your attention?

SMILE!

What’s an instant deal-breaker for you?

Conceited mindsets are no bueno!

What is your ideal first date?

A night out around the city!

Grab a froyo with me and walk around the town, maybe visit a few stores for the fun of it, makes it a good opportunity to just talk and enjoy each other’s company!

Did you have any mentors who greatly impacted your career or growth?

I did have one, Jeff Kahn was his name!

Great man who gave me a lot of help and hope to push through the rough spots.

Do you have any tips for aspiring models who are trying to break into the industry?

BE YOURSELF PLEASE. The one mistake I made was trying to be like everyone else. I didn’t take off until I quit that and truly accepted who I was entirely. Own it babe.

What do you want to be remembered as?

Someone who inspires you to chase your dream and pushed you to do the positive things you have always imagined yourself doing in this life.
