What inspired you to get into the modeling industry?

I’m actually not in the modeling industry. I just love using Instagram as an outlet and take my own photos.

How long have you been modeling?

Sorry, I’m not a model.

As a model/aspiring model, do you think that it is important to have a large following?

Again, not a model but I don’t think it’s important to have a large following to be one.

I have friends that are actual models who are still successful in their career despite not having a huge following.

I do think it helps to have a large audience if you’re trying to reach out to companies over social media though.

Who is your favorite model?

I’m sorry I can’t just pick one person so I’ll give you my top 5. I’d have to go with Tyra banks, Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes, and Rosie Huntington.

If you can’t already tell, I adore the Victoria’s Secret models.

Were you ever camera shy?

I definitely was at some point but I owe it to one of my dear friends, Ken Valencia, for breaking me out of my comfort zone.

He was the first to work with me in high school and we’d have our own photo shoots for fun.

Have you ever been published in a print or digital magazine before?

No I haven’t, but it’s definitely a goal of mine.

What’s something a guy can do to get your attention?

Be funny without trying too hard. I love someone with a good sense of humor.

What’s an instant deal-breaker for you?

I can’t be with someone who has a huge ego or acts entitled.

What is your ideal first date?

My ideal first date would probably just be dinner and a good movie.

Tell us a random fact about yourself.

The ocean and everything in it fascinates me.

What are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of my perseverance in life.

I’ve been through a lot and I’m just happy I can say that I’ve gone through it all and I’m still here today.

What’s your favorite healthy snack?

Multigrain crackers and roasted red pepper hummus or fresh watermelon and pineapple.

Did you have any mentors who greatly impacted your career or growth?

I didn’t really have any mentors but like I mentioned before I’m very grateful to have a friend like Ken who brought out my creative side and inspired me through fashion and photography.

Do you have any tips for aspiring models who are trying to break into the industry?

I wouldn’t know much information on how to get into the industry, but I’d say reach out to local photographers and build your portfolio.

Use what resources you have to promote yourself and work hard to get to where you want to be.

What do you want to be remembered as?

I plan to live my life being kindhearted and compassionate.

I think it’s important not only to be remembered for the things I’ve accomplished, but also to be remembered for the type of person that I was.
